The Czech version of the Surgical Fear Questionnaire: measuring validity and reliability

Aim: The aim of the study was to examine psychometric properties Czech version Surgical Fear Questionnaire. Design: A cross-sectional design. STROBE guidelines for reporting observational studies were followed study. Methods: sample consisted 332 adult patients from Republic. Questionnaire (SFQ) used measure preoperative fear. Cronbach’s alpha calculated test reliability. construct validity SFQ tested using exploratory factor analysis. Results: Reliability instrument as a whole confirmed by high value Cronbach coefficient (0.813). Two factors identified of in Conclusion: showed good and reliability can be research clinical practice. Further analysis is needed confirm these results.
